This new event takes in some of Cheshire's finest country, and certainly its highest!
As the name suggests, we take in the 3 highest tops in the county on this 13.1 mile loop - so you can be sure sure of a great variety of terrain on your way around this lovely loop from Tegg's Nose Country Park, above Macclesfield. The course, as it's name suggests, is quite hilly, with 847m of ascent meaning that there'll certainly be some walking involved for most, but it remains inclusive with a generous 4 hour cut off for completion.

From the centre, your straight up to Tegg's Nose and the views open up instantly.
An exciting descent to Tegg's nose reservoir then leads to a fairly flat section through to Macclesfield forest and Trentabank car park, before the tough ascent of Shuttlingsloe....it's shapely profile looming on the approach.
Amazing views on top - you'll see much of the rest of your route, here...and you'll soon be heading down towards Clough House and up into the hills again.
Runners cross the main road by the Cat & Fiddle (2hrs 15mins cut off here) and begin the ascent to the last of our 3 peaks - Shining Tor, the highest in Cheshire!

The remaining miles of your Half is bumpy, without being particularly hilly and the scenery and terrain beneath your feet is ever changing. A finish at Tegg's Nose where you'll the opportunity to replenish and enjoy your finish medal and the great feeling of completion, of an exhilarating route!

2026 is only the second running of this event and with the inaugural 2025 edition being a big success, we are really looking forward to seeing you at Tegg's Nose for the next one.

Course records:

Male - Matteo Coddaci-Pianelli 1:44:51 (2025)
