Traditionally held at either end of the Summer, the Vale of Clwyd 5k & 10k events will take place on the same day in 2018. 2 incredibly scenic routes, ideal for seasoned runners and beginners alike, combined with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, will make this an event day to be enjoyed by all. The same 2 ‘measured accurate’ routes will be used and the event licensed by Welsh Athletics.

The VOC 5k was voted in amongst ‘the top 100 races in the UK’ last year – it’s a cracking route and runners often comment on the simplicity and friendly feel of the event. Runners of all abilities are drawn to test themselves on the pleasant, undulating route and 2018 will be the 6th staging of the VOC 5k.
Start, finish, registration and facilities at Ysgol Bryn Clwyd school, Llandyrnog. Jez Brown finished 2nd in 2014, and said: ‘Brill race, so well organised and nice to see a few hills in a road race!’

The VOC 10k is simply a bigger version of the 5k route, again a circular loop – this takes in the villages of Llangwyfan, Llangynhafal and Henrerwydd before its return to Llandyrnog and the finish. Same undulations, same great views as the 5k! 2018 will be the 7th staging of the VOC 10k.
