Id rather pay more money for better medals. Nice design and all for eco friendly, but I did see the same medal website make very nice wooden ones! That's my only downside.

As this was my first ever ultra marathon, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but I can honestly say I had a fantastic day and thoroughly enjoyed the event.

The route was challenging, scenic, and well worth the effort, taking in some beautiful views around the Llangollen area. The checkpoints were well placed, the atmosphere was friendly, and the event had a welcoming feel that made it ideal for both experienced ultra runners and those taking on their first ultra challenge.

The only area I feel could be improved slightly would be the route marking. In a few places I would have liked to see a few more directional arrows or markers for extra reassurance, particularly when running alone between checkpoints. However, this was only a minor issue and didn't detract from what was otherwise an excellent event.

Overall, Out-Fit Events put on a great race, and I would happily recommend it to others. Completing my first ultra here made it a very memorable experience, and I will definitely be back to do this event again in the future.

Challanging route. Really nice to explore. Terrain tricky in places, ideally would have enjoyed more if I wasn't as worried about going off route, with a few extra road markings. Great day, challange completed and feels good.

One of the last true trail runs. It still feels authentic. I would of loved a T Shirt but other than that, it's everything a trail run should be.
I've trail run for two decades and it's nice to know there's still some out there that focus on the route and not the glory, mech. No frills, pure running.
Do it for the pride.

Loved it - would be good if there was a building to get changed / use loos - get a tea etc . but other than that if was fab !

a really enjoyable event, thank you to all those involved. One piece of feedback for next time- the public toilets weren’t open early enough before the start and with no toilets available at the start either, this was not great.

The course was good, organisation pre race was good too. If I had to criticise, there could have been better markings for the course, I know it's self guided but sometimes there was markers sometimes there wasn't, and this year a last minute non-mandatory gpx change messed some people about I think, generally though no one had major issues

Aid stations could improve

We were disappointed that we didn’t get the “bespoke wooden medals” promised on the website - the actual medals left a bit to be desired.. but other than this had a great day. Thanks!
