The Spring race involving summit and sea, we will be going 'Summit 2 Sea' - and the Half Marathon (ish - it's 13.8 miles) will see runners gather on the summit of Moel y Parc and follow the Offa's Dyke National Trail to the coast and finish line on the beach at Prestatyn. Though starting at over 1300ft above sea level, and finishes at sea level - do not expect an easy course! In fact - you'll get through over 2450ft of ascent. A generous cut off of 5hrs (2hrs 10mins at 10.5km) means that it is an event accessible to runners, but also fit walkers.

There shall be 2 feed stations along the way of this hilly course and the National Trail is extremely well marked. Registration shall take place at the finish point - the Prestatyn Nova Centre, and a bus (bookable at extra cost nearer race day) can take all competitors to Bodfari before a 'warm up walk' of around 45 minutes takes us to the top and a quite unique start line! Alternatively, competitors can head straight to Bodfari village, for the walk up to the start, if they have transport from the finish, arranged.

The event shall be electronically timed for quick results and you'll experience a beautiful, challenging route.

Mandatory Kit - you can expect to be required to carry the following with you on race day. This may be relaxed slightly, based on race day conditions.

- Waterproof jacket and trousers

- Hat (buff is acceptable) and gloves

- Foil blanket (orange survival bag is acceptable)

- Fully charged mobile phone

- Whistle

- Start with at least 500ml water

It promises to be a great day on a beautiful route, and we hope that you can join us!
